[QUOTE="zxvb"]how is 198 if my 2 dream dream colleges are cornell and georgetown (and i think i can get it up to 210/2100).quiglythegreatyou could get in but you probably wouldn't on those scores, but then it's more than scores anyway. I mean, you almost certainly wouldn't get in on those scores. so lets say i get like a 2150. a 4.0 gpa (weighted). do a few extra-curricular activities. volunteer. write a great admissions essay. would i have a chance then?
hey all,
awhile back i bought a 5.1 htib (home theatre in a box). It had a standard 5.1 speaker setup, plus a receiver with a built in dvd player. turns out, theres no digital/opitcal/hdmi in or out so the only way i could actually USE the surround sound was with my dvds. that was fine, until i bought a blu ray player. TRU-HD: not acceptable when the 5.1 sound is through RCA Cables lol. anyways, i now realize i have a need for a new receiver: my questions:
1. i have enough inputs on my tv, meaning i dont care about the video source switching capabilities. how would i use my hdmi to get sound then? would i need a receiver with HDMI inputs?
2. can someone recommend a good product that will play my blu rays in true 5.1. my player can decode btw. cheapest one possible, im not strapped with cash.
so 2012. who do you all think is gonna be the republican election candidate?
i personally think it is going to be a Gingrich/Romney ticket.
i could certainly see pawlenty, palin, huckabee, jindal competing.
I was going to pick up Fallout 3 for the PC instead of the 360, since it's Windows Live enabled there's really no reason to get it on the 360, as I can get achievements and be logged into XBL to make myself available to game invites from my friends while playing on the PC.
However, I've recently heard that the PC version of Fallout 3 uses SecuRom to check for the disc being in the tray. Now, I won't let anything with SecuRom within 30 feet of my PC (don't try to convince me to do otherwise, I'm not listening), so that's out. I understand that if I download Fallout 3 on Steam it won't have that. However, if I download it on steam is it still Games For Windows Live enabled? Can I still get achievements linked to my 360 gamertag and be logged in to Live while I play?
