Anyone play it enough to give thoughts yet?  Notice any bugs/glitches?  Do you feel that the Wii U specific features help or hurt the overall experience?  I'm trying to decide whether or not to grab this for the Wii U this weekend.  But, so far, I haven't seen any reviews specifically discussing the Wii U version and how or if its different from the others.

I haven't played Skyward Sword yet.  But, I like what I've seen of the art style.  I was also a fan of the darker, yet still cartoony, style used in Twilight Princess.  I thought it built off of Majora's Mask's style very nicely.

It's supposed to be a pseudo-follow up to Eternal Darkness for Gamecube. It looked awesome running on CryEngine, unfortunately the Kickstarter fell through; nobody knows if it's going to be finished.

They actually relaunched the Kickstarter today along with new footage.  Right now, I believe it's only planned for the Wii U with PC and PS4 releases as stretch goals.  It also looks like they're planning to have it finished in October 2014 if it gets funded.  It looks like a cool game, but I'm always a little wary when it comes to things like Kickstarter projects, so I haven't thrown any money in yet.

I'm not sold on the game at all yet.  But, if I were interested, I'd pick the WiiU version if it offered something unique with the Gampad.  If not, I'd go with the PS4 version.

I don't understand why Nintendo's been so slow to bring VC games to the Wii U.  What is the logic in not having the entire catalogue of Wii VC titles also available for Wii U?  Also, I really think they need to step up their sales with VC titles.  When I can get games from 2012 for dirt cheap on PSN, it's kinda hard to justify spending $5 on a NES game that's older than I am.

Most entertainment companies don't accept unsolicited ideas, be it for games, movies, TV shows, etc., since they don't want to get sued if they happen to be working on something similar to what someone sends them.

That being said, if you and your friend are really passionate about your idea, there's a healthy community of people creating fan-made games based on Nintendo franchises like Zelda and Pokemon online using programs like GameMaker.  You wouldn't be allowed to make a profit off of a game using Nintendo trademarks.  But, if you worked on the game yourself, it would be a cool way to share your idea with others.  It's never been easier to make your own video games.

Nope.  I rarely revisit games after a certain point, for some games I try to finish them 100%, others I'm content just to play through the story.  So, I like to sell my old games to help fund purchases of new games.  Unless a game is only available digitally, I'll get the physical version.

Tropical Freeze... even though the name really makes me want a smoothie every time I think about it.

I got YLOD earlier this year, so I'm picking up a PS4 at launch.  Otherwise, I'd probably wait.  There's plenty of stuff still coming out for the PS3 like GTAV and Dark Souls 2.  So, no reason to upgrade just yet.

There are about 10-12 Wii U games that I'm interested in picking up between now and the end of 2013--Game & Wario, Mutant Mudds Deluxe, Pikmin 3, Splinter Cell, The Wonderful 101, Rayman Legends, Sonic Lost World, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Mario 3D World, Shovel Knight, (maybe) Wind Waker, and (maybe) Arkham Origins.  I will concede that a lot of the more interesting games like X, Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros. are scheduled for 2014.  By contrast, I am planning to pick up a PS4 this November with 1 game, Killzone, maybe Knack and/or Watch Dogs too.  So, when it comes to games, the Wii U is definitely winning in my book.

Nintendo promised 3D Mario, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros.  We got exactly that and more.  People who are complaining because there wasn't a Star Fox or a Metroid game need to base their expectations on what Nintendo actually says, not rumors and speculation they hear on the internet.
