@nl_skipper: we honestly can only blame consumers because for some reason most arena shooters can only survive if they are free unlike the smash hit overwatch. I have to admit overwatch is fun but blizzards brand name contributed.
@Tiwill44: I don't like it at all but there can be 100 plain old shooters that will make craploads of money, by people see arena shooters as something on their own. It's treated like it's another genre entirely by consumers. This is why overwatch kod battleborn and. Battleborn failed. I bought battleborn because I liked playing a story mode but nobody played the game so it backfired. I think this is why paragon and war frame are free. Nobody likes it, but it is the sad truth. The only thing to blame is consumer preferences. People probably won't buy another arena shooter and instead get other different games like titanfall 2, ffxv, cod, bf1, or last guardian.
If deus ex is being discounted this quickly then it must have failed and I mean it is not a big successs. I'm going to take a guess that it is. It most popular. I can understand dark souls since it has been out so long. And I actually bought the game two days after launch only doing first mission and I regret paying.
