They feel they should actually be getting games for free from developers on the merits that they play a lot, and therefore "support them". Few groups put as little money where their mouths are than those so called "hardcore haters".

Yeah, I remember DAY ONE people hated the points system. Took 8 years to "listen" to customer feedback.
