[QUOTE="xxDEUCExx"][QUOTE="DarthFudgeums"] i saw red faction but i didnt like how it looked to me but the CoD idea sounds really good tho that would be so much fun your friends n you could fight to control an area n like make it your base or somethingDarthFudgeums
Yeah man. I can just see it now. You overtake an new area and your faction builds a small outpost on it. It could have one of those "real-time" styles where the longer you hold an area (over a time period of a few in-game days) you're faction builds a fort that becomes more and more fortified as time passes. Say you capture an enemy post that has been fortified. Well now your forces have claim on that post and resume fortification from it's current state rather than starting from scratch. or vice versa.

haha yessssssssss!!!!!! i wonder if they ever thought bout this before they probably have but it might take a bout of work or something

If they don't want to go that far at least do something similar to Chrome Hounds which had a constantly updating battlefield. You could control one area one night just before you turn the game off but the next when you turn the game on again the friggin Sal Kar faction jerks have taken two or three cities because those guys played the game all night long. Haha! That was a fun game. Chrome Hounds. Back to the Epic Nerd fest....a sweet title would be CoD: Global Conflict. Man I'm going to nerd about this as long as I have fingers, a keyboard, and nothing to do here at work.

[QUOTE="xxDEUCExx"]Red Faction: Guerilla. Excellent Free-Roam game. Go anywhere you want and destroy ANYTHING you want! ::EDIT:: CoD as a free roam sounds like it might have some strong potential. It might be pretty cool to roam a combat theatre with your friends in a convoy of tanks and HMWWV's and stumble upon an epic battle!DarthFudgeums

CoD4 is alot more fun than I remember it being. I got hooked on CoDWaW for a while but I've been tired of WWII since....WWII. =-P CoD4 is now my longest standing game. I usually play a game, finish or get bored with it and immediatly hawk it to the nearest GameStop. I finished Fallout 3 about 4 months before the DLC came out. During that time period I managed to sell it to a bud and erase the game file. An action that I now regret but no way in hell am I starting over. ::EDIT:: HardCore is the ONLY way to play CoD4, CoD: WaW and will be the ONLY way to play CoD: MW2

It's not really fair to compare the two games though. They have their similarities but they are based off of two completely different ideas (and time periods for that matter).

Far Cry 2 is a good free roam game. Lots of people have said they didn't like it. I didn't like it at first. After I'd spent more time playing it it really grew on me. I love it now. It's one of my favorite games this gen. I think you just have to spend time getting use to the way the world works, understanding the buddy system and accept the fact enemies will respawn at checkpoints. If you do that you'll probably love it too.x-2tha-z
FarCry2 has a good idea but getting around is just an annoyance. Every mission is the same and they are all a good 15 minute drive away from eachother...come on!!! And no Lions??? It's Africa man! Are they extinct and nobody told me?

Only ones we're this stuff are about are FPS's i.e. Halo, CoD, BioShock, UT etc. I'm not really sure what I'd call GTA. Somewhere between RPG and Action/Adventure. ::EDIT:: Epic Wording fail on my part. ::EDIT:: Twice.

I chose Semi-tactical roughly because I can see the THIN line drawn through CoD. If you are playing Core..it's a Semi-tactical. If you are playing HardCore it is straight up tactics. If you step out of cover (and sometimes you don't even need to do that) at the wrong time you are toast. It'll take one or two bullets to kill you. Usually just one will do. In Core you have that Juggernaut garbage which is basically an everpresent Oversheild nevermind the fact that it already takes a full magazine to drop a guy in Core mode. I love HardCore. Only thing I don't fully agree with in HardCore is the hit indicator popping up when you shoot a friendly.

Heh, go me. I unlocked Katana armor WAY before the DLC came out. But I havn't played Halo in over a year so I guess I'm just blowing smoke here.
