It's not necesary to say why i dont put Super Mario Bros(NES) in my list, because it's not something we can just compare because that game is king... 1)Halo 2 (Xbox) Incredibly well done almost perfect multiplayer system(exept for the mods online), superb campaing: Really Smart Ai, perfect shooting system, well done storyline, huge enviornments, and maybe more! I put this game as the best ever because even if for many it dissapointed it still managed the get through all the flame, and it's considered one of the most played exciting games ever, online and campaing. 2)Halo: Combat Evolved (Xbox) The first console shooter in years to be actually fun. And also set the bar for future firts person shooters. Just look to the Ai, graphics, sound, storyline, this game's depth is far up from either Half Life or GoldenEye.... 3)Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Xbox 360) Giant, beutiful, endless. What more do you want from a Rpg? I mean, it actually simulates reallity, action/consecuence behavior. 4)Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (Xbox) The first game that I played that the quest were not all killing and smashing stuff, but to concentrate and outsmart the entitys whatever the situation was. And secondly, this game is the first step in gaming of creating a whole society for rpgs. And i'm serius: Citys, councils, etc... 5)Soul Calibur (DC) I don really need to explain myself to point out why i consider this game in my top five. I was actually going to put this game 3rd but i still think that Bethesda's games have a deepth that beats almost everything... Runner Up) Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic (Xbox) Runner Up) Secrets of Mana (SNES) Runner Up) Resident Evil 1 (PS) Runner Up) Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) Runner Up) Gran Turismo 2 (PS) Runner Up) Ghost Recon 3: Advanced Warfighter (Xbox 360) Runner Up) GoldenEye 007 (N64) Runner Up) Tony Hawn Pro Skater 2 (PS) Runner Up) Super Mario 64 (N64) Runner Up) Grim fandango (PC) I did not put any Grand Thef Auto games because I think they are overated, yes I have played them, all... And I did not put the now days Final Fantasy games because I havent played any... I will though :-)
