@damnstraight003 It's two sides of the coin. Don't make enough changes then people will cry CoD and Starcraft 2 with not enough innovations Change then people like will will say ANet is alienating their fanbase. So what do you guys want?

Some people have forgotten that the developers of Shank have released a new stealth game called Mark of the Ninja.

@Gelugon_baat Bioware told us that there would be many endings that reflected our decisions and what did we get instead of that? And Gamespot's journalists were okay with that. Bioware told us about what their game is striving for and in the end the game negates everything that they're trying to do. Same case goes for this game. They/We were told that it'll have the "extreme realism" as mentioned by the journalist here, and what they got was regenerative health which in turn also negates everything the developers are striving for, but the inconsistency here is that they're now not okay with it and started ranting here. Why are those guys accepted the marketing speak from Bioware and not the marketing speak from these developers? Why judge one developer so harshly and another so lenient? Is it because that Bioware is a more well known developer company that they can easily get away from the same faults done by other not-so well known developers?

"And this scenario is so utterly preposterous that it negates everything we're told the game is striving for"

This is just my opinion but previously Mass Effect 3 had this similar condition where we were only told of marketing speak (we were told that we would have many different endings that reflected our decisions and instead what did they give us?) and you guys were okay with it. Why complain about it in this game and not Mass Effect 3? The inconsistency here really boggles my mind.

Please do not misunderstand the gamer's concerns. Most of the people here although sounded like they wanted to change the ending, but all they want is ADDING a conclusion to the choices the player makes in the game and it is not altering or changing the game's story in any way. (It is just like adding DLC/Patches/Updates to an already finished game)

We have been indoctrinated by Bioware into discussing about the ending for eternity!! D: We can either keep talking about the ending until they release a patch that adds an ending or lose interest in the ending until they're forced to release a true ending to keep our interests. It's after all the player's choice :D

Yes, the artist does have the right not to listen to its audience and they all the right to say we don't want to change anything. But shouldn't the artists at the very least reflect upon themselves and communicate to their audience clearly as to why the audience are throwing rotten tomatoes at their work? And the traditional 'work of art is done and cannot be changed' statement is a bit outdated, if what you said is true for all art forms then why do games release game balance changes (Take a look at DoTA in the old versions and now), remodelling assets (Take a look at WoW from vanilla until the latest expansion), rework their art style and last but not least allowing the audience to give suggestions to their game? If it cannot be altered then why give the illusion of saying that the audience can voice out a change for a better game?
