Uncharted 1 was a really good game, Uncharted 2 was one of the top 5 games I've ever played. I thought Uncharted 3 was good but not great so it'll be interesting to see how good Uncharted 4 really is.

I'm curious when did "creating something new" become a required part of game development in order to get a higher review score? And why is okay to judge some games on their lack of newness and others get a pass?
I'm not picking on the review but I do find it interesting that some games get a pass for doing more of the same (Skyrim for example) and other games don't. In this case the latest Batman game. Or is the standard that we have to mark down games that put out a new release every year but those that go a few years between releases aren't held to account in the same way?
Just curious how much it costs to make that happen and if 99.9% of players don't notice it or it doesn't add to the game then why do it?
I don't really care, but I keep reading articles about how game development costs are going crazy and can't be sustained. Yet, I don't see much about how developers are looking to work smarter to keep costs down while still creating great games.
Yes, the AC series feels exactly like a product coming off an assembly line because that's how Ubi wants it. They have seen other franchises do exactly the same thing and make a lot of money.
I will wait to see how the review are for the next AC installment but I'm not really excited about it. The whole pirate thing feels like some kind of gimmick because pirates seem to be semi-popular at the moment so Ubi decided they should have a pirate AC game.
