Before Resident Evil 6 comes out, I am going to play through 4 once more, but I had a question. I just unlocked the hand-cannon and was wondering: Does it unlock in all save files / new games?

The following are a list of enemies that frightened me the first time I encountered them:

1. The Alien (Xenomorph) in both AVP 2 and the more recent AVP 2010 game. What was scary was the amount of time you spent not in combat before you encountered them, but that whole time you knew they were coming. I'm sure they'll be even worse in the new Aliens Colonial Marines game comes out.

2.I can't remember the name of them, but in Resident Evil 5 they were these cockroach like monsters that liked to spam a one hit kill move. They usually showed up inclose quarters combat type areas. Thechain sawmajiniwere also not fun the firstcouple of times.

3. Pretty much every enemy from Dead Space, but more so the Necromorph that could regenerate and you ended up having to burn him aliveto finish him, a similar enemy came up towards the end of Dead Space 2 but he was a little different in appearance.

4. In Resident Evil 4 Salazar's 2 personal body guards, the first one you encountered more so then the second one, in fact I haven't been able to kill him yet,in thegame instead of killing him you canchoose to flee by holding him off until an elevator arrives, and if you choose them he does not show up in the game again. What makes him difficult is that he is faster then you, so even running away he can have the upperhand.Salazar's second henchmen isn't so bad because he takesless hits to kill andyou end up fighting him in an arena type area rather then along thin hallway.

5. The chameleon from Resistance 2. They killed you in one hit, and they had a cloaking ability. Luckily they had very low health butit's either you hear them coming or you die. The scenein which you were ina swamp andwere forced to find them by the water displacement they were leavingwas their highlight.

6. The Big Sisters from Bioshock 2. They could take a lot of hits beforegoing down, and drained your health at a constantrate. The one disadvantage they have is thatit is very easy to prdictwhen they show up. Dr. Stienmen from thefirst game deserves a mention as well, altoughhe turned out to be an easy mini boss.

7. Alma from F.E.A.R.. Not anyof the games in particular, but the scene at the end of the first game where you had to "fight" her wasdefiently frightening for me.

Note, I haven't played any of the Silent Hill games so that is why none are on the list but I'm sure people who have played them would definitely put them on their list.

Do you prefer multiplayer with or without the use of kill cams?

  • Both games have an average weapon selection
  • MAG can support more players
  • In MAG you can customize your skills (such as bomb defusing time decrease and faster reloads) as well as your armor, but in Medal of Honor you can only customize your weapons.
  • You can have three weapon attachments, while in MAG you can only attach things if you have the inventory space.
  • Medal ofHonor hasbetter graphics
  • MAG is only online
  • Medal of Honor puts you in in another game right after the previous one ends while in MAG you have to re-join yourself.
  • In Medal of Honor you can unlock the other factions weapons, but in MAG you can not.
  • Since in Medal of Honor you can not change armor types, it is easier to estimate the amount of damage you are dealing.
  • MAG has more unique game modes.
  • MAG's multiplayer maps take place over a larger variety of locations.
  • It is much faster to get into a game in Medal of Honor
  • In MAG, only squad leaders can call air strikes, while in Medal of Honor anyone can.
  • In Medal of Honor, you have three classes, and a different rank for each class, while in MAG you only have one overall rank.
  • In Medal of Honor you can not customize the look of your character.
  • In Medal of Honor you switch factions every other game while in MAG you stay as the same one each game.
  • MAG allows a little more tactical input, while Medal of Honor the maps can be a little linear.
  • The melee system, (to me anyway) seems more accurate in Medal of Honor
  • In Medal of Honor each faction only has one sidearm, but they seem to be more effective than in MAG
  • In MAG airstikes are more accurate
  • In MAG you can use the Playstation Move controller
  • In MAG you can have an accent
  • Games do not take as much time in Medal of Honor
  • They are both fun games overall

Kane and Lynch 2, Army of Two: 40th Day, Medal of Honor, and Dead Nation are all very short.

Also something kind of funny, if you remember the AVP game that came out in 2001, I got that in 2005, and was able to play it online for quite some time. I got this itsfirst weekend and only got into games easily for maybe a month. One thing that game had over this one was that, for some reason, this 2010 game left out some weapons, like the chain-gun and dual handguns for the marine and the net gun and spear gun for the predator. Also, you cold be different types of aliens like the predalien. I think Iread somewhere that this game actually sold pretty well, but maybe people got rid of it after getting frustrated by the online system. I'm unaware if the X-box or PC version of this game have the same online problems.

I am a big fan of Aliens vs Predator, so when I got the game that came out early this year I was very excited to play it, because it's not everyday and Alien / Predator game comes out, and since it was made the the people who made the 1995 five game I thought it had a lot of potential. First thing I noticed was that some how, all 3 single play stories (Alien, Marine, and Predator) combined, was still shorter than a typical game, however, theacctual gameplay was very well done. The marine story made you feel pretty alert, while the Alien and Predator let you beat the stuffing out of the poor marines. The major disappointment I had though, was how stubborn the online community is. I'm not picking on anyone in particular, but when I join a game, it's most often 6 predators vs 3 marines, and maybe 2 aliens, and usually predators are most powerful individually, so you should have less of them in a game, but people are so stubborn they will wait for up to 30 min before changing sides because no one else would. Even if I get into a "fair" game, for whatever reason, the host takes forever for it to start, so people get tired and leave. Most people are still at rank 1 because it's so hard to play. Since I really like AVP I kept the game to play offline, but as a warning, if your not an AVP nut or you only play online, you might be disappointed, especially if you spent 60%.
