wow - they aren't even trying to honor the franchise.

I can't wait for this game to come out so I can ignore it and let Konami know we don't care about anything MGS-related without Kojima.

@unitea @willauqs that definitely makes sense. i only played DAO so i suppose i'm lacking some perspective when it comes to comparisons with previous installments as opposed to comparisons with other games in general.

i like how they have to explain the world in which enemies DON'T scale with your level and how this is an immersive new gameplay choice. that's how most games were until probably oblivion brought the mainstream over to auto-scaled enemies. how often do we confuse "innovation" with trends that just swing back and forth?

Bethesda combats used-game sales by adding more content and replayability to their games to entice gamers to keep playing. Other devs combat used-game sales by adding DRM and always-online requirements to screw over gamers and treat them all like criminals. I appreciate Bethesda's approach.

Tom isn't talking about the issue of whether violence in games effects kids. He is just saying that violence is ok if used to tell a story. But politicians don't care about this distinction.

Stop clouding the issue Tom. The issue is simple: No correlation (let alone causation) between violence in games and real life. Stop clouding the issue and stop using passive voice and unecessary adjectives because this intellectual front doesn't actually make the gaming industry look more intellegent.

wow stop blaming marketing for all the problems of society. marketing does not create societal problems but just reflects them; it simply observes the market and gives it what it wants. this is something that would be cool to the average person interested in the game, a young adult male. its not like a huge population of girls were about to buy the game until this came out. and common its a zombie game on an island! decapitated bikini babes are COMPLETELY in line with the games content.

@sixerforlife teamwork is fine. but you work with your team... to control the power weapons. im not saying cod is better. im just saying that halo is based on weapon types.

What is Frank talking about with Halo vs Call of Duty? Halo is 99% about controlling the map by getting to the power weapons and knowing their respawns. I'm never trying to get a different gun when I am playing call of duty. You could own with the beginner assault rifle up to prestige.
