If you don't need BC then go for the 40 gig and couple of games. Ratchet and Resistance perhaps. 40 gigs is more than enough unless you are looking to do some hardcore downloading. If so go for the 80 but truth be told the 40 is more than good enough.
Reports are that Gamespot, Futureshop, and a lot of stores are out or are dwindling. 60 GB are still fairly available on Amazon, best buy.com, walmart.com, etc. Basically online retailers. Best buy and walmart are giving some games free with it.

The list goes on for alot longer but you get the idea. This is just the exclusives and just the games you requested. No sports, rpg, etc. All I can say is PS3 is a great system that you can enjoy.
