I don't really get why these games are being compared. Prototype is closer to Mad World for Wii, that type of beat-em-up as ridiculously as you can carnage game. I don't think it's the same type of game as Infamous at all. That being said, I prefer InFamous, and most reviewers agree with me. I got bored with Prototype just as I did with Mad World, there's very little replay value. InFamous I'm playing again and it's a completely different game now that I chose to be good instead of evil. Plus, the graphic novel and all the developer stuff on IGN really gives InFamous more game mythology to it, which I really like. I'll play InFamous a lot, but don't know if I'll even beat Prototype before I send it back to gamefly.

HAS to be InFamous! I really don't get all the MGS4 love. I don't. When I beat the game, it left me somewhat empty. Months removed, I'm actually finding myself DISAPPOINTED in MGS4. InFamous, on the other hand, is proving itself to be the best game for the PS3. While I like Uncharted, I feel that you actually play more in InFamous. I remember one time I was playing UnCharted while my girlfriend was sitting on the couch reading a book, and she asked me "Do you actually play this game, or just watch?" The cutscenes were impressive, don't get me wrong, but I much prefer the comicbook style of InFamous. I'm also finding the replay value to be great. When I first played, I by mistake ended up being evil. I'm playing again as good, and it's a completely different experience. You get your money's worth and more. PLUS, throw in stuff like the added mythology that Sucker Punch is doing such as the graphic novel.. really, there's so much more to this story than just the game and stuff like that just takes it to another level.

It makes sense because there are still NEW games being released for the PS2, and they're not huge dropoffs in terms of gaming from the PS3 (IE the new MLB 09). Sony gets it and isn't screwing over their fans who can't afford te huge price jump to next gen.

It's definietely worth it to buy a PS2, it's not a dead console and Sony keeps releasing quality games for it. For $100 bucks you can essentially play stuff like the new MLB 09 game, which is EXACTLY like it is on PS3 (minus graphics). If you're not set up for HD as it is, and are concerned about money, then absolutely get a PS2.

i'm totally on board with it, the demo was great. batting indeed was more difficult this time around, but it just takes some getting used to. i think the batter's swing is faster besides the pitches being fast, and in turn its throwing a lot of people off.

been reading a lot of the previews and dev blogs too, and youre right, the attention to detail is freaky but good. freaky good!

You'd think so. But you never know. There may be a zen to it we don't understand.

I'm just curious.

What position do people usually choose in Road to the show?

I tried it as a SS, but I stunk up the joint and dove into franchise mode out of sheer embarrassment.

(I got tired of the manager yelling at me)

Anyway with '09 coming out, I thought I'd see what everyone else's experience has been like.
