@theotherbob: If he actually bought a new piece of hardware last year theirs no reason it shouldn't run GTA V unless he didn't do any research and bought the first cheap thing he saw.

@gameroutlawzz: Meh, this is a Bethesda game. Optimization won't be great. I'd expect 30 on high.

@reavern: Well Bethesda isn't famous for good optimization but they also don't have a history of truly bad optimization. They're STILL using Oblivions Gamebryo engine which is not a good engine at all. Plus Bethesda makes silly optimization mistakes. For an instance in Oblivion every model had so much unused data in every mesh that removing that data had zero visual impact and nearly double the FPS.

"How large the game sounds"... Skyrim was 5 GB -.- Content =/= size
