@Kayweg @MigzBR On Steam, if you wait until after the Early Access is over, they will probably raise the prices with 15 euros.. So I bought it a long, looong time ago.
This is a good thing. Why? Because it will make the players return, thus the multiplayer will have a higher chance of survival for more than a month or two :)
@Cypress131 @ecs33 Are you saying that the GDDR5 will talk to the APU -wirelessly-? Unless the APU is all of a sudden a SOC.. Haha.. think not. Of course it will have memory lanes, question is. Will they make more than one. It is a motherboard inside the case and the buildup is the same that of a PC, only it is embedded on the board.
@ecs33 Try buying 8 GB of GDDR5 and see how cheap it is. It is about three times as expensive as DDR3. Since they started designing the PS4 a couple of years ago, I believe they have the same GDDR5 as the 500 series of Nvidia cards. Which costs about 18,45 USD for 1024MB of GDDR5. Then multiply this with 8 and you have almost 150 USD for just the GDDR5 alone..
This is prices for manufacturers, but I bet Sony will get a slight discount, but since the headroom for RAM is so small, I figure they pay about 17,50 USD per GB.
