Ah the "desert island" pick but this time its games alright I think I can decide, most of them will be PC games because online on a PC is the best over the rest. These games all either have a special place in my heart or I want to experience them for the first time in a place sutible for gaming, I guess a desert island with internet access and outlets and a power generator but non-theless these are my 5. 1. Unreal Tournament 2004 (PC)- I find myself installing and uninstalling this game over and over because I just keep coming back. After all that I have played I still lack and all those mods and maps to download makes this game even more awewsome. Just pure singleplayer can keep me occupied but online is where its at. Unreal Tournament in all its installments has had this effect on me but UT2004 has had the biggest one. This is definitely one. 2.Call of Duty 2 (PC)- This pick is a pure craving for online. Sure I dabble in singleplayer everyonce in awhile but this is mainly an online play fix. Multiplayer is where its at esspecially with the Admiral Mod. I currently play this multiplayer the most out of any game. Also its good to have a WWII shooter done right on the island. 3. Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (PS2)- I used to own this game but before I could play it I had to return it because I needed the money at the time and I said I could get the game anytime well I just could never get around to getting it so now I am left without MGS3:S and its glory. I picked this game for 3 reasons, 1 I really want to play it, 2 I want to catch up on MGS and experience it, and 3 it has online and that means more play time. 4. Counter-Strike: Source (PC)- This the first game I don't own. Now this doesn't mean I haven't played it. Actually I have spent well over 40 hours with the game. Two words, lan party. Yes I have played extensive hours with CS:S when I visit Romania for vacation and I play my friends. That is the game to play LAN. No other game compares. And because of that this game has a made it to my personaly list. Now online for this game is where I can focus that skill I had, I'm a little rusty these days but I'll pick it up again. 5. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC)- This is the second game that I currently do not own out of this list but hey when is a better time to try this game? I would easily spend well over 100 hours with the game starting off and I would just play it some more. Also I really like the whole tone of the expansive fantasy game that you can just work at it. I know alot of people are still playing this game and not even close to finishing it so its the length and replay value that would prove useful on an island. There you go, my "PICK 5" pick. Now to wait for my plane to crash on that oh so special island with the gaming works. Here is hoping there won't be any snakes on that plane.

This is a complicated subject. This seems like the problem that faces (no pun intended) game design in terms of humans and realism vs. believability. Very interesting article.

I would have to say Mortal Kombat. Its got Ninjas, and over-the-top violence, and a marketing campaign like crazy. Clothes, lunch boxes, action figures, movies, and yes furniture. All of this expemplifies the American way, especially the ninjas.

Due to budget in my house I can only choose games wisely. Here are some that got cut that I wish didn't 1. Far Cry (PC)- I always thought that I would get this game but it just never happened and I want to punch myself for it. But this game has the highest chance of actually me making a late purchase. 2. Metal Gear Solid 1,2,3 (PS2)- Everyone was talking about this game when it came out and as MGS2 showed up and MGS3 did then I felt left behind. It would take a long time for me to catch up with everything. 3. Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion (PC)- This has a big chance of making it to my collection but there are other games in the future I had had my mind on. Only time will tell. 4. Prince of Persia 1,2,3 (PS2)- All my friend kept telling me to get the first one and I didn't then the second one came out, I played the demo, and wanted it as well but again didn't get it. Then a third a came out and at least I wanted to purchase this one but the gaming gods said "no" and now I am left behind with this when I could be ahead. 5. Resident Evil 4 (PS2)- One of my friends always tells me of his exploits on Resident Evil 4 and all these amazing things and as he continued the more I wanted to play it but again due to finances I can always borrow it or something if time allows, IF but one weekend over his house and this can be all resolved and I can walk home with this game, maybe.
