Well, I'm planning on getting a Wii, and I was wondering about the different storage mediums for the Wii. In other words, what devices can I save downloads/game files on, and does the Wii have any internal storage. Also, can you save anything onto the controller's memory? Thanks in advance! -D. The Wii has internal memory. Not sure quite how much, enough to store saves and a couple of VC games, but not enough to store photos, films and music etc.

You can expand this memory using SD cards, these must be bought separately, but currently come in 1 or 2gb sizes, but the Wii is compatible with most SD cards so you can go to a digital camera shop and buy one there.

The Wii also has 2 gamecube memory card ports at the top. Finally, you can save your Miis on to the remote, but nothing more. Hope that helps.

In preparation of getting MP3 for my Wii in October (I live in the UK) I thought I would check out MP1 as I never owned a GC. Went in to town and then remembered I would need a memory card. These are £15. A 1GB SD card for the Wii was only £12 and could be used for other stuff. So, can you save GC saves on to SD cards. Also, it then occurred to me that I might be able to save it to my Wii direct. So is it possible to save GC games to the Wii memory, if not, is it possible to save it to SD cards?
