@duggd1ggler: It’s hard to get away from this kind of stuff. I left IGN because they started getting too political, and now Gamespot is as bad or worse. Too many entertainment web sites are going off the rails like this. They decide they want to comment on a political issue so they find any way they can to find some tangential connection to the site’s subject matter to give them an in.

@texasgoldrush: Yes, because she was selected for that position by fellow Democrats who either like her politics or want to keep their leftist base happy, not because she’s an expert on financial services.

Now any good suggestions for video game sites that stick to games and don’t look for excuses to push politics?

Ugh. Switched from IGN to Gamespot for game news because I got tired of IGN always commenting on politics and social issues. Now Gamespot is promoting socialist AOC and going so far as to call her an “expert” on the matter at hand.

Anyone know of a good pure gaming news site?

@P00DGE: Which is a notorious trope of the left. Strangely, I’m not impossibly rich yet have never been harmed by those who are impossibly rich simply existing and making money. It’s not me vs. anyone. I’m simply living my life and am perfectly happy with it. There is no class warfare unless you make it.

@fatman98: Huh? It wasn’t the government who halted trading. RobinHood made the decision themselves, and it’s their right to determine what stocks to broker. It’s AOC who is proposing government intervention. That’s how it always works. Any time we have some controversy in this country, the government finds an excuse to get involved and amass more power for themselves.

@dmblum1799: Where do you get the idea that these people are “right wing?”
