Yeah, cuz, y'know, Gears and Halo have such killer stories to tell people about! I wrote to my brother the other day about those games: "Oh man, remember that part in Halo with the...umm...Halo? Oh, man, that was awesome! Remember in Gears when Marcus said 'Oh yeah!' and 'Eat **** and die!' ? That was so awesome! Or remember how the people on XBL called me a 'punk bi** after taking my Warthog? Man, those guys sure are tough! And smart...and cool...and useful in the world...wow! Oh, and remember in Halo when...wait....what the hell DID happen in that game anyway? I know you hopped around and killed the same enemies you've been killing since 2001, but I can't seem to remember much else. I know the multiplayer was pretty much the same. Hmm. OK, honestly Gamespot? Honestly? Graphics comparison? Honestly? It's articles like these that make people care more about graphics than anything else in a game...it's why Gears of War sold well. Because sites like this promoted nothing but "GRAPHICS. LOOK! SHINY! NEXT-GEN! Never mind story, originality, game-play, or the fact that nearly everyone you encounter over XBL when you play this game is a spoiled prick who only hate Sony and the PS3 because that's what sites like Gamespot and magazines like Game Informer tell them to do." I mean, really... Then you have people on here going: "Oh, a shadow in the corner of the screen looks sharper on the 360 version, PS3 SUCKS, SEE!? LOOK AT THAT SHADOW IN THE CORNER, THAT PROVES SONY IS INCOMPETENT! LOOK AT THAT SHADOW!" P.S. MGS4 is going to be the best game ever. P.P.S. I don't care if an angry fan-boy reposts against me, I don't need friends over the internet (like some people here apparently). :)
I love PSP and don't mean to be a negative nancy, but are graphics all that people care about? Doesn't story matter anymore? The characters? The emotions? Kratos and his tale have all of those qualities (and great graphics), but how many other games will embrace this? Do only graphics matter anymore? ....oh, wait.....Gears of War sold....so yeah, I guess so....
