@Chaos_Dante_456 Here's a way to put it into perspective~ 16 mass shootings resulting in 88 dead in 2012 (nationally). Chicago's murder rate in 2012~ 500+ (10% higher than 2011). # of murders in USA (2011)- 14,612. # of people dead from mass shootings since (and inclulding) Columbine [April 20, 1999] up till now (including Sandy Hook) [Jan 9, 2013]~ 274 people.
1) The economic recovery was hindered by Obama. Have you seen the amount of debt accrued within the last 4 years? 10 trillion >>> 16+trillion. Obama managed to somehow raise our national debt by 50% without even impacting the economy. Ask any economist. By now, the economy would have swung from it's depression state and towards a recovery, but ATM we're at ridiculous inflation and stagnant job growth.
2) Read about "Bar Stool Economics". What or where did you get the fact that our taxes are the "LOWEST in our HISTORY". Companies have been sending jobs and their offices offshore or into other countries to avoid tax hikes. Do you recall that the Supreme Court labelled Obamacare a HUGE tax increase?
3) Did you read what Obama's stimulus package was. Both of them were PORK bills. Did you read what Obamacare was? It's literally just a huge PORK bill with frosting on top that "all people will have healthcare". Except no medical hospital or insurance company can take on that many people all at once. Obamacare doesn't even address this issue, so prepare for crappy service, less time and higher costs as hospitals close down because they can't be reimbursed for taking care of people who CANT PAY!
4) Bush was the one who spent a lot (again not as much as Obama has). Republicans/Conservatives stand for LESS government. Who is issuing more money allocation to education despite scores of "graduating" students being lowest than they've ever been-- Democrats. Who holds hostage all types of businesses from growth and cause prices to rise in the name of Unions-- Democrats. Who was the one who made all these promises in the beginning of Term 1 but failed to uphold any of them-- Obama. Who was the one who forced our House and Senate to approve housing loans to people who couldn't pay it back causing the Housing Crisis-- Democrats (youtube it, it's there from CSPAN).
5) Looks like you really need to get YOUR facts straight. If you take a position on how you can kill the American prosperity and push it towards a nation where government dictates anything and everything, you'll find you're basically siding with Democrats on all of it (socially and economy wise.)
Chris Christie, the great RINO. What about those mentally unstable people or criminals who murder innocent people? Oh wait, I guess liberals never want to prosecute them or put them in jail or instill capital punishment, but somehow it's the law-abiding taxpayers who should take the blame and the burden. Seems like the 1% is swaying the environment of the 99%... sound familiar?
Glad to see (from reading most of the comments) that the gamer body knows what's actually happening, unlike most of the mainstream media, liberals and Hollywood hypocrites. As sad as these shootings are, they are all blowing this all out of proportions and diverting attention from what's really been wrong with the nation. There's more than enough evidence to show that removing guns from law-abiding citizens is counter-productive.
