[QUOTE="Treflis"]And now the debate will turn to "Did we win or did we loose?"FightingfanWe lost, we didn't find Osama Bin laden. Now whats the score two loses for USA now? Iraq *check Vietnam *Check We didn't go into Iraq for Osama. That was Afghanistan.
[QUOTE="Stesilaus"][QUOTE="MaxPred2010"]We pwned Iraq. If your typica liberal pinhead knew what kinda things went on in that country before we went in, they'd shut up. Just Saddam's sons alone would make you puke.Jaguar_Shade

Regime Change: How the CIA put Saddam's Party in Power
oooh oohh I know this one. Bush? Anyway, while it is written down on a piece of paper, the war is over, tell that to the guerrilla fighters still there. In a few years time Baghdad will be back under the control of another powerful dictator, the whole conflict looks like a copy paste job from Vietnam. I Hope that doesn't happen, but I don't doubt it can happen.[QUOTE="carrot-cake"]
[QUOTE="GD-1369211121"] He tortured people and killed many, wasn't reason enough for him to be hung?GD-1369211121
So does that mean the US should invade every country that has done so? Is that enough justification for a full scale invasion which left the country very unstable and arguably less secure? Is that enough justification for the number of foreign solders which have lost their lives? If we don't invade then who will? They weren't able to handle it themselves that's for sure. And they were greatfull. If they were all grateful, why did they start blowing us up?
[QUOTE="the_new_guy_92"]Al-Qaeda? And no, Saddam Hussein was NOT linked to Al-Qaeda. Iraq and Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11, just letting you know. He tortured people and killed many, wasn't reason enough for him to be hung? Yea, he killed about 100 of his own people with chemical weapons. And that was enough to charge him with war crimes and execute him. But there are dictators much worst than him around the world and we're not invading there countries and taking them out of power. So we obviously didn't invade Iraq just to help the poeple.[QUOTE="GD-1369211121"] Well he's linked to Alcheida(sp?), That's all I need to know.GD-1369211121
[QUOTE="Dark_Knight6"][QUOTE="GD-1369211121"] Um, how was it pointless? Have you forgotten 9/11?GD-1369211121
There is no known evidence that links Hussein to 9/11.

Iraq and Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11, just letting you know.To join their family that where kicked out the country by Fidel and ended up in the U.S..All I know is that people are willing to sail out into shark infested waters on nothing but wooden planks strapped together to escape his island. That's usually not a good sign of a great government or leader.

And he dedicated 40% of the nation's GDP to education, our politicians should take notes.By regional standards, he's done a pretty great job; sure there's no political dissent, but compared to other Latin American countries, this isn't that unusual. He's kept the country safe and stable, raised literacy to the highest in the Caribbean, invested in alternative energy sources and instituted a universal health care system. I'd take Fidel's Cuba over Colombia or Nicaragua any day.
