@SprSynJn: Not really, although it seems more common for say $2 per hour, this is $3-$4 which isn't as common. I can just imagine the outrage if CD Project Red say we're gonna starting making our games maximum 20-25hrs since its okay Nintendo and some others as it's all about quality only rather than value now.

Remake-wise also, depends on the content / changes, RE2 Remake as mentioned in some replys is a legitamate remake with additional free content to boot so there's no common fixed rule on that.

To be honest though, most of the games new I buy either follow the rule of $1/$2 per hour rule and if it doesn't I've obtained it discounted so maybe I'm a little out of touch somewhat but there seems to be a few people that have the same impressions so I don't know, this putting it out there

@aross2004:I also prefer quality over bloat (what's up Ubisoft!) but obviously there's a ceiling in terms of price to content ratio as people do comment on this stuff (and people are commenting on this issue with this game so clearly there's at the least a small issue), I'm just surprised it's ignored as much by people that are meant to help with buying decisions (reviewers / content creators); especially when cost is less of an issue per hour for said people.

Not gonna argue what average is acceptable because that's arguable but personally $2 per hour is my maximum, $4 feels like a bit of a rip for an indoor activity, unless I have lots of disposable income in which case that would differ. I believe such things do matter irrespective of quality and especially when you consider how poor Nintendo's sales / money-off ratio is (Nintendo clearly have an Apple business model and fan mindset to get away with it) compared to other stores (PlayStation have excellent sales off for their flagship (and Japan made) games for example regularly) because that's what people just except it seems after all ninty aren't the only store that makes / has quality games but their price hold is legendary.

I also think that's the reason why I don't have as many Ninty games as I would like because in months later this game is gonna be the exact same price.

@mxerdude:Exactly, it's getting more and more common (Little Misfortune is meant to be 3hrs long and costs £15 as a recent example), I'm just thinking we should be careful about this trend is all rather than just been worried about microtransactions and gambling because a lot of these reviewers / content creators recommending games don't have to buy them or worry about costs, they can afford to just look at the 'art' aspect instead of average compared value at will.

@chippiez: RE2 has a shedload of new and additional content and even the base game averaging 5-6hrs a piece for each campaign (took me a little longer playing casually and hiding from Mr X) still works out about 5hrs-10hrs more than this one total.

Don't get me wrong, looks like a quality, quality game this Zelda, but buying at this price from ninty all the time is asking for trouble if you ask me in terms of content vs wallet.

I'm little shocked how rich everyone seems to be (reviewers seem to think so too it seems) that very few people mention the fact this is a 15-20hr length game max for full retail price (it's like charging a full movie ticket price for a movie that's 30-45mins long)!

If it were most other games or series people would be almost in riot. Let's remember that the next time people complain about new games that aren't nintendo / zelda being too short for the price tag I guess.

They simply didn't have anything to show, development cycle is longer and they know their previous showing was meh and VR stuff while cool is still too niche to be considered major showcase, so it was probably wise to skip this one.

It would have just been a lot easier to have said as much rather than pretend to have 'better' ways to showcase stuff.

PS Before anyone gets confused or ideas of fanboyism, I own and enjoy all the systems (including PC master race nonsense), so when gaming wins, I win, simples.

Well...if you have / like your VR, you're in for a treat possibly, otherwise...I think it was wise to skip E3 if this was all that was ready.

This looks like it's not finishing until 2019/20 by the potential look of things, also, not sure, but is there some kinda multiplayer stuffed in this? Got that impression when they kept saying "you can find your friends" which is a scary line for the only child, toxic individual or passive agressive anti-social person; and also probably why it's taking longer to complete.

It's a little scary / disturbing how much bare-bones / early access type games (whether full price or half that) are satisfying a good amount of people considering that if say Ubisoft tried to sell Far Cry 5 in the fashion of Sea of Fails (sorry, couldn't help it), which even it's arcade mode (which I care little for) has more content in it; they'd be uproar, even when acknowledging you already know what the studio / series is capable of.

@Thanatos2k: Or off a plank...for the sake of staying in theme I mean.
