I really don't understand mainstream audiences, whatever age group this is targeted as... It does leave one sort of wondering, why didn't the ps2's eyetoy take off in mainstream popularity the way the Wii has? I mean, it's just really strange. Must have been marketing campaign along with word of mouth more than anything else.

I just want to play rpg's again. I just want to play next gen rpg's, is that so wrong? Not strategy rpg's, not rpg's available only on the PC and 360, just role-playing games provided for ps3. Does FF 13 HAVE to be the only one? Who knows what this Demon's Soul is going to be like, probably an average game at best.. . I want the hardware we have available to create BEAUTIFUL game environments, with lush green forests or a volcanic scene where you become so immersed that it's almost like you can FEEL the lava bubbling. I want there to be no more 5-second loading battle screens like the ps2 days. I want instant combat like in the VERY few action rpg's I've played. I want an impressive story and I don't care about being able to "choose" my path like with Western RPG's (might I add none of which are available on the ps3) because I LIKE linear paths if they include all that I mentioned above, as well as some other new things that these developers (mostly Japanese) just don't want to do, and stick to archaic boringness. You could have just stayed with the ps2 if you weren't going to utilize the hardware me thinks.. . I mean am I wrong in thinking this? Someone please tell me what's so very wrong in this wishing of mine. I promise that I'll do my best to make such a game sell; to insure more great games I'd be willing to give up my own dignity and pride for some innovation and enjoyable change. But the world doesn't work like that does it...
