that is an interesting view, linking Gauntlet with deeper ARPG like Diablo. I have to say, I don't really see the connection, appart from te multi player, but it is something I did not think about.
I rather thought of Magika, for obvious reasons, and the brawlerish nature of that game. And in that regard, Gauntlet is almost just as fun with others as it is dull alone as Magika was.
A pretty well done game, that was so obviously built and balanced around four player coop that it makes it really hard to even want to try anything else.
I quite like the tiers of difficulty in the different characters though, that makes it intersting to say the least. A bit like Dota lite (with each class moving progressively harder to the wizard/invoker)
@HowlPendragon @swedsihfrog wow, that is just embarrassing. I must be a peasant for playing newly released games. You must be right. I see no flaw in your devilishly cunning argument that having access to 5-6 games a month for a nominal fee is the same as working the earth for a living.
Or were you trying to insult me? I have to say, I am confused as to how that was a relevant come back. Especially considering that you have no idea of how I prefer to play games.
I have a PS+ subscription, because it is convenient, but I also have a very comfortable collection of games on PC, that i own.
Also... since all your xbox games (that you totally own, congrats) are on the 360... not the xbone, enjoy them on that machine. That finite, reaching the end of its life, soon to be obsolete machine.
Civ Rev is a great game, I liked it a lot, when i bought it for 5€ 3 years ago, on PS3. :)
@electroban @swedsihfrog Htere is no fault here, no worries, The game is more of a way to convey the experience of being depressed though this text adventure.
The gameplay is not exactly gamey see? :)
But if you are one who gives a chance to games like the Stanley Parabole, Gone Home or Dear Esther, and I think you should, then this game is worth trying.
@electroban You are missing the point. This game is about depression, the "gameplay" IS the emotional bagage. It is not DotA or AC4, the whole experience is about communicating the feeling of being depress to allow you to understand it and relate to someone victim of it, or help you feel less alone if you are duffuring from it.
