@LE5LO I don't think they can do that. People would turn on them. I think the better strategy if they really wanted to implement that would be to deliver the really "bad news", then the "good news" like Microsoft has done. People will relax. But if Sony delivers the "good news" and follows it up with "bad news" that's much worse. That's what is called perceptual contrast. Sony would never recover.
Sony and Microsoft want you to download instead of buying discs. They are a dying breed and trying to survive in the digital world. Everyone and their mother has been forcing players to buy stuff new. What? You want to play my used iphone games? Too bad for you. This was/is inevitable. This is why they are turning xbox one into a "home/TV entertainement", because they are running out of ideas.
