Hmmm, well given what you've said about already having a DVD player I'm not sure, but the Playstation controller's been the same since PS1 Analogue DualShock came out. Only difference is that the sixth axis is swinging (used in Call of Duty 3). It really depends on how hi-def you want your games to look. PS2 games also gain a bit of a boost in graphics (nothing extremely pretty, but the brightness and the newer graphics card makes the recent PS2 games such as Tomb Raider: Legend look spectacular. They games may be expensive, but if you have the right television it sure is worth it. It would definately have been a bargain had you not bought the Blu-Ray DVD player as you would've saved about $400 which is enough for about four games.
