You need it connected to the internet to use those. You would need a Nintendo LAN Adapter or the DS wi-fi adapter, which also works on the wii. I need one of those myself.

Also look in places you wouldn't expect them as much. I went to FYE and they had some there.. I probably should have bought one but didn't have the $40 at the time.

I too am a Wii360 owner, and as for your first question most of the 360's that were breaking were the consoles that first came out. You still hear of people saying their 360 broke or w/e but I've never had any problem with mine. Just keep it in a well ventilated area and you'll be fine. Besides, the 360 comes with a One year replacement warrenty now if you're that worried about it. Second, you say you're interested in Lost Planet. I have both Gears and Lost Planet and I like them both, but I'd say LP's multiplayer is more enjoyable. Also, the xbox 360 comes with a one month gold suscription so you can try the games out on live. If you're not sure, just rent first.

Probably because they think the reason they included the Halo 3 beta was to sell a crappy game.
