@face76: The point is more that people act like because we get remasters, we don't get new games at all. They act like a remastered Skyrim would mean that we won't see an Elder Scrolls 6. The issue is even more stupid, when you realize that most remasters aren't even handled by the team who originally developed the game because, shockingly, the original team is busy working on NEW stuff. Uncharted remastered for example was handled by Bluepoint games, while Naughty Dog continued work on UC4.
This argument that everyone has that "remasters" need to stop in favor of new games/sequels is completely unneeded because they've never actually gotten in the way of them.
Uncharted and The Last of Us Remastered didn't come at the cost of UC4. Tomb Raider Remastered didn't come at the cost of RotTR. Gears of War Ultimate Edition didn't come at the cost of Gears 4. Halo MCC didn't come at the cost of Halo 5. Dishonored Definitive Edition hasn't stopped Dishonored 2 been developed.
A remaster of Skyrim wouldn't get in the way of anything Betheseda is working on, because they just released Fallout 4 fairly recently and Bethesda games take 3-5 years anyway, AND we already know Skyrim works on current gen consoles, because they've already said they ported it over to get a feel for how Fallout 4 would work.
If you don't personally like remasters, that's fine, and completely understandable, but their is no need to keep lying about how we don't get new games now because of them, when we clearly do.
I'm interested in seeing how a choice based Batman game would work. The only thing I can think of is something close to the end of the Assassin's section of the Season of Infamy DLC for Arkham Knight, where Batman was forced to choose between letting someone die a mostly natural death, or saving that person but doing so would start a war that could kill hundreds.
I hope they don't give the series back to Molyneux. Fable 1 is the only game that, to me, feels like Fable. I loved been part of the Guild, going on quests, and just everything about that game. 2 and 3 where both steps in the wrong direction. I hated seeing this fun fantasy world turn into a rather generic Medieval Britain.
Honestly, as bad as the whole F2P, semi-Moba idea that was Legends is, I kinda like aspects of it far more than 2 or 3, because it brought back some of the feelings of the original. Been part of a group and just going on quests, it was almost what I wanted from Fable... almost.
Honestly, I think Phil needs to get on the phone with Big Huge Games and 38 Studios. Kingdoms of Amalur was a much better Fable game than 2 or 3 ever was, and I think they'd be the perfect people to take over the series. Just make Kingdoms and add some British humor, and we'll be good.
Gotta hand it to EA and DICE. For a game with no content that no one plays, they're great at keeping those updates and free content rolling out for it.
Maybe I'll think differently when I see her in costume, but Alicia doesn't look like Lara to me, and am not talking about bra size either (though let's not beat around the bush, she is smaller than Lara), her face and just everything about her is just not how I picture Lara at all. Daisy Ridley I could see as her, but not Alicia.
It's also frustrating that for the second time, Hollywood has cast someone who isn't British as Lara Croft. Angelina didn't work because she was American, and Alicia won't work because she's Swedish. Only the British can get the British accent right, and that is a key part of Lara's character.
