how many current wii games are mini games? not even 10? and how many aren't mini games? a couple hundred? not even 1% of wii games are minigames so people need to stop saying all wii has/will have are minigames.shoeman12
Almost all of the Wii games are shovelware, sloppy ports, and minigames.

It is screwed for '08.

Seriously, if all it gets is just some minigame trash, it is absolutely SCREWED. We want good games, not minigame trash. Hopefully we get some new announcements.

Saying "minigame trash" one sentence after the other is not proper english on the other hand, how is Paper Mario, Metroid Prime 3, Zelda, the Virtual Console, Red Steel; "minigame trash". It just doesn't make sense. Sure, the Wii does some games that include not only single player but minigames with it to extend the fun for even longer. And wasn't the Wii mean't for casuals in the first place? I mean I highly doubt casuals want to play games that they can't automatically pick up the Wii controller and go at it like nuts, this coming from friends that have the Wii.

I don't even own a Wii (only an Xbox360) and I know there is more to the games that are coming out for the Wii. Not to mention upcoming titles such as Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I hope you realize many of these games will continue to be popular and to be played even into 2008; but as for your need for a comment of games that should come out for the '08 year, it is still too early, even for the Xbox360 and PS3, and both consoles have around 8-10 exclusives.

Just look at the top selling games for the Wii. Most of them ARE mini-games. There are many good games for the Wii, but very FEW are coming out, the ones that are currently announced, but that still won't end the drought of decent third party titles. Look at the support the 360 is getting.

nice crystal ball :|

red steel- fps rayman- mim game wairo ware smooth moves- mimi game

oh yea so manny mimi games

Wii Play, Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Brain Age 2 or w/e spin off it is, etc.

If you enjoy your Wii by playing these games all the time, I don't know what else to say.

wii sports- its still sports wii play- puzzle/mimi game yes.

brain age 2 is not a mimi game.

you know there mroe than that no more heros, sadness, recu, manhunt 2 (not a port dont get me started) bully, table tennis.

smg, ssbb, mp3 (not a huge fan of it though) red steel 2- (no word on it most likey coming in the near future) pimp my ride (just kidding :P)

see

I don't know if you're baiting me or not, I'm not even gonna argue.

[QUOTE="coreygames"]I don't think it would be screwed, especially since the casuals eat that stuff up!super_mario_128

But what about us gamers who actually want REAL GAMES.

I don't mind Nintendos first party that much, since they pump excellent quality titles. But the thing I'm most worried about is the third party support to fill up those gaps between Nintys titles.

Third party support on the Wii is only getting better, and will continue to get better... it's inevitable given its sales. The Wii is unstoppable.

Ok, after 'the big three' are released (SMG, SSBB, MP3) what games are being released that make anybody consider buying them over something like mass effect, bioshock, GTA4 or Halo 3?

You said anybody... and anybody definately includes the noin-gamers of the world, which will eat up Wii Fit faster than Ultra-Slim fast diet plans. Whether you like it or not, this game will sell by the butt load, as will Mario Kart. and anything else Nintendo has under wraps at the moment (They said themselves theyhave 40 Wii games currently in development, most of which are unknown).

PS. The only game you listed thatis coming out after the Nintendo BIG 3 is GTA.

Ok, then tell me this, how many games released now cater to the 'hardcore' gamer that expects depth in their game? One of Wii's highest scoring games is Wario Ware :| Zelda caters to the hardcore and maybe SPM does and apart from RE4 Wii Edition (a port btw) I see no good 3rd party games to buy.

I'll be picking up No More Hero's, Manhunt 2, Nights, Zack and Wiki, Table Tennis, Bully, Top Spin, amd Final Fantasy CB, and Resident Evil.

Nice, I'll be picking up No More Heroes.

I heard it was delayed to 2008.

Also the fact that dev's are releasing sloppy ports and terrible games that look like they didn't even try. At least Nintendo releases good games that aren't mini-games.

If this is the Wii's fate for the entire generation, I'm turning lemming.

It will have games announced for it, but it won't be those huge AAA third party projects Wii owners are hoping for. Finale-
This is all Nintendo's fault. They are pumping out minigame trash like Wii Sports, Wii Play, and now their super duber latest one; WII FIT!111

Dev's are seeing how well these games are selling, thus they will start pumping out these kinds of trash. Why Nintendo, WHY
