That's the weirdest thing. I thought this stuff was done. Also, is it fitting or not that an American traitors mission aren't on the 360?Anyway these will probably show up on 360 before too long. Everything else seems to go multiplatform after the exclusivity timer runs out.

They'd literally have to rework the entire game engine to make it fun to play, but it was so awesome in every other regard I'd totally buy this again. Don't know about full price though. The original came out for $20 or something like that, iirc. I'd MAYBE pay a bit more than that.

I don't know about the Modern Warfares airpot stage. My friend brought it over the other day. Frankly, I wasn't offended at all. Not because it you weren't being a sh***y human being, but because it was poorly done. The entire thing felt cartoony and without purpose, like it was there to elicit a response. Then the end of the level makes sure you did it all for nothing. That should have made it more impactful, instead it make it more idiotic. Watching all those people run around while you mow them down with hailstorms of bullets, it should have had SOME KIND of impact, but it just felt like fighting stupid enemies. Admittedly, I dont' find COD appealing, as a game or a story, nor do I think it's a game made for portraying emotions, but I didn't find that part at all questionable, simply because it felt so fake. But I wouldn't expect anythign else from a game that's there simply to be about men with guns saving the world. Or whatever.

Everyone seems more like they're discussing wether games are good for telling a story through structures that movies and novels follow. I'm not so sure you can't really look at it like that. At least not to prove this point. There are many games where the plot and characters are the driving factor to continue, even when the gameplay itself it very fun. Take Xenogears. That game's story was immense, but by the end of it it wasn't the gameplay I stuck around for. It was the story and the characters that drew me in. I've always played games for the story, so maybe I'm biased, but just because you intereact with the overall plot, doesn't mean something doesn't have a clear cut narrative. Maybe most games have yet to find the perfect mix of game and story, but gameplay is more like turning a page or switching scenes, it just leads to the next act. Admittedly, I love it when games have long drawn out parts where you do nothing but read the text (or nowadays watch an cutscene). Some argue it takes you out of the game, and that may be true, but if the story is good I couldn't care less. It doesn't take me out of the game as much as it involves me in a different way. If the cutscenes are well done, like Xenosaga, or MGS, then I'm probably going to enjoy them as much as, if not moerso, than the game itself.
