@mikemurphy80: I agree that you don't have to play the game on your phone or tablet, it could be streamed to, or directly connected to, a TV. However, the article is specifically about mobile gaming, which, for me at least, means 'gaming on the go' (on the train, in the park etc.). To say that 'gaming on the go' will attract people away from PC and console gaming is not something that a lot of gamers, from my generation at least, will be attracted to, even if the graphics are well rendered.
You can already stream games that have amazing graphics on to an Nvidia Shield tablet but I'm sure most folk would prefer to play the game on their PC. From the vibe I get from other gamers, the future is to play games at 4k or on an ultra-wide set-up, not on tiny screens. VR has limited viability due to the type of games it works well with i.e. first person.
