Theres a score single player mode after you beat the game (kind of like halo 3) that makes the game last alot longer then you think. Game doesn't have to be long if its good. Look at Gears of War so many many awards and it was a very short game. Also look at bioshock ppl complain bc they thought it was Too Long for a fps. Theres no way you can please everyone. If MS and infinary ward support this game like halo 3 it will be a BIG hit and last as long as halo 3 will

bash away but cod2 is better than cod4! cod4 you basically just run and gun...or you camp and shoot the people as they run down the street...you hit them one time or get hit one time..you die......all the people online either camp in a building the whole game or its just a stupid chaos game with everyone running around shooting at everything that moves....and they copied the running off of gears of war...basically you can sprint like sonic the hedghog.....jmhoSpinbrett

If it had trucks and choppers it would be alot better online.... Alot of ppl said that. If you don't like the art or look of halo 3 then cod 4 will be the best online shooter out there

After you beat the games sp you get a mode where you can rank up points/combos with every kill in sp. I think youll get alot of play time in it. Do you have Hdtv if so it will be one of the best looking and runing (60fps) game out on the 360. Its worth it but If you like long sp game wait for Mass Effect

Source is an old engine, and while theyve updated it for Ep1 and Ep2, its still an old engine. If you want to see a brand spanking state of the art engine tho look to UE3. Bloody amazing some of the stuff it does in UT3, Im really impressed.teebeenz

To be an old engine source still holds up to any other. I think their phyics are way better done then havOks. Everything reacts like its suppose to like tires are sticky/heavy. UE3 looks great in bioshock but thats only bc they modded it so much. Gears/UT looks to unrealistic and spacey. If you play gears you know too many times youll see pop up textures way to much. I'm hopeing they fix that in Ut3.

Vavle is the only one that uses source right? I know modders on the pc use it but does any big name devs use it besides vavle?

Yes the frame rate is smooth. On that chopper boat race/fight didn't skip or slow down. Btw that level piss me off but in a good way where when I got through it it felt good. The textures look high res to me. Your right though it doesn't stand out bc the char models aren't shiney or wet looking and the whole level isn't just filled with bump-map. The graps are so clean looking though so sharp and clean I don't miss the over shiney (gears/halo 3 textures)

On that note load times are a pain but 5 games on a 8gb disc??? no wonder its loads alot and it slow with it loads. Thank you core. This game shows 360 needs hd game installs for better loadtimes and whatnot

Yes I know its an update but some reviewers pointed out it didn't look good (shows it age) and just added HDR lighting but from what I play the textures look real good way better then old xbox games and many 360 games

I never play half-life or half-life 2 (main reason why I got orange box) and I have to say I'm following the story pretty good. They recap what happen in half-life one and black mesa and whatnot. On the note they story and story telling is SO good in it
