I second that. All those annoying issues with framerate, long loading times, dont even exist. I played about an hour of the game so far, and I stopped just so I can come post on the forums about how exaggerated some of the minor issues in this game were. And please, please, dont listen to these reviews. They're absolutely wrong. Even though I only played about 1 hour of the game, I would rate this game a 9.5. That may sound oversimplified, but I really love how this game is turning out to be. It's everything I hoped for in a turn-based JRPG.

Now, my only complaint is that they didnt do voiceovers for NPCS. You'll have to read the dialogue, which is kinda lame. But since it's a JRPG, I can let this minor flaw go. And so will you. Excellent voiceovers, amazing and gorgeous cutscenes, and very likeable characters, and beautiful looking cities. It's definitely a must buy.

Time and time again, I will say this over and over. Lost Odyssey was really bashed on. A game that runs and looks this great couldnt possibly score such a mockery of a rating. When I first saw this game, and I followed up on it, I knew in my gut that this game was going to be great. And I was right. For the first time, I ignored reviewer's ratings and rant, and purchased a game based soley on how I felt, saw, and believed in.

One last thing. Some of the reviewers will use the adjective "frustrating" about the load times, choppy framerate and screen tears. They're almost nonexistent. I haven't noticed any screen tearing, load times are maximum 8 seconds or less, and the drop in framerate is not really noticeable. The gameplay is fun, exciting, and it feels fresh despite it being a turn-based RPG. You dont want to miss this one.

well i just purchased the game, though i wont be getting it until tomorrow, because they just shipped them today.. but to be totally honest. i am really looking forward to this game and have my hopes high with it. now in turn blue dragon was a dissapointment to me, it was kinda bla, not for the jrpg aspect cause i love the jrpg genre, but as i say that, blue dragon had some of the best music in a videogame i have heard in a long long time. And I being a musician, love great music. so im hoping that lost oddyssy has some great music as well, if it doesnt than honestly i will be dissapointed in the game, because despite what alot of people in here say or think, the music is one of the key elements that gives a game its mood, example. take the original diablo. or duke nukem, silent hill, PARASITE EVE( some beautiful music there boy) the orginal C&C's (redalert included). they all had a great mood, largely due to the great music.

now i also had a feeling i would be let down by blue dragon and i kinda was... but i thought a good bit about LO and i think that i wont be dissapointed.. if i am it will only be slightly or so i hope.

Who cares, JRPGs are backwards generic trash that can't hold a candle to Western RPGs.

The posts here today have opened my eyes to this truth.

The only developer to put out decent RPGs from Japan is Atlus. Square Enix is just the Electronic Arts of Japan. Nothing more needs to be said.

I'm not usually interested in JRPGs...but I'd probably buy this, if I had an Xbox 360.

Interestingly enough, if they'd just called it 'Final Fantasy 14', cows would be raving about how awesome this game will be.
As it is, they'll just call it a 'crappy 360 game that just happens to be made by some of the Final Fantasy guys'.
