I must say that overall, Galaxy looks much sharper. The colors are all much deeper, richer and they're not as washed out as some colors are in Sunshine. However, it is noted that both have different art styles and that Sunshine has . . . well, a lot of Sunshine so "flaws and washed-outness" are more iminent. Galaxy does have much better looking textures and is overall much more cinematic looking. Sunshine does have nice water effects and some visual touches which are only emphasized, enhanced and added to in Galaxy Super Mario Sunshine Graphics (Given Gamecube's Horsepower) : 8/10 Suerp Mario Sunshine's Graphics (WIth Wii Hardware) : 9.3/10
Here's the Base Line: + Great Games Lineup, SOLID, FUN, INNOVATIVE, and BOUND TO SELL - Okay pricing for the console,but $60 for a new controller & numchuck is definately overpriced - Web-Browsing Idea is good, but having to pay for it = DUMB!!! - NO DVD PLAYER - kind of a problem in today's market, but it's an unecessary element + Great innovative, console and controller ideas - Could have made the graphical performance a little better + Good amount of consoles (40 million) being shipped worldwide + Great idea to appeal to hardcore gamers and new masses of other "non-gamers" + Weather, News, and Mii are good extras but somewhat irrelivant + Great idea to have Wii Sports packed in = The Wii is a "can-buy" for most people and features games for practically anyone, but some of the extra features and the lack of powerful hardware may dissatisfy some gamers and others. Overall, I would definatlely buy the Nintendo Wii for gaming and not much else, which isn't really a problem.
