But I tip the scales of intelligent posting...in a good way.

Thank me.

Udsen

Say what!?

I am the king of intelligence here now.

You missed the memo I take it.

I'm starting to smell a hint of /b/ on this board.

[QUOTE="AmyMizuno"]Perhaps I was exaggerating a little above about the PS2 games having more polygons than gears, but my point still remains true about Gears using low-resolution meshes when outputting the image.Blackbond

Okay fair enough.

Although the difference isn't much actually. Marcus Fenix is 15,000 polygons while Virtual Fighter 4 characters are ~14,000 polygons.

But the difference is there is only two characters on screen at a time in Virtual Fighter 4 which is not the case in Gears of War. In Gears of War if I'm shooting at two different enemies thats already exceeding the polygon count of Virtua Fighter 4's two characters. Factor in Teamates like Cole Train, Bared, Dom and there is usually much more then two enemies and well yeah.

Virtua Fighter 4, Naomi 2, 2001
Jacky - 14,000 polygons

Virtua Fighter 4, PS2, 2002
Jacky - 7,000 polygons

Gears of War, Xbox 360, 2006
Wretch - 10,000 polygons with diffuse, specular and normal maps
Boomer - 11,000 polygons with diffuse, specular and normal maps
Marcus - 15,000 polygons with diffuse, specular and normal maps

Plus what Blackbond said you also have to take in the consideration of the scale of the enviroment compared to a fighter game.

I don't think Gears 2 is the type of game sheep are looking for.

I think Little Big Planet impresses them more.

Relys

I think LittleBigPlanet impresses everyone.

The whole concept of Spore impresses more.

[QUOTE="silentobi"][QUOTE="Tamarind_Face"]

AI? have you played the orginal gears? it has the most dumbest AIs ever. Sometimes some enemies cover beside you. ANd besides we dont know if the AI is upgraded. Do you really think you gonna fight with those horde of enemies... watch the trailer your still gonna fight with 4 enemies at a time.

Tamarind_Face

I never said anything about Gears 1 A.I. :|. And yes you'll be fighting way more enemies than Gears 1. You're on a moving Tank how are you supposed to survive a 10 locust attack? let alone 50.

Stop dreaming you aint gonna fight 50 enemies all at once... maybe when using the torqua(sp?). This isnt Dynasty warriors.

Wow you're dumber than you look you totally misinterpreted his post.
