I don't think having an equal distribution of sexes is inherently a good thing. It's the work that matters, not the sex, after all. Unless you mean women are being discriminated for their sex and aren't being hired in the industry, of course. Now that would be a problem. I think 20% is pretty decent actually. I don't think these sort of statistics would go up so dramatically in any industry in just several years. Just my opinion, feel free to disagree.
@emptycow718 It's not that simple. The GameSpot staff do not all contribute to a review. A review is written by a single member, so of course some reviews will contradict each other in terms of opinions and criticisms. Chriss Watters gave this game a 6, whereas Mark Walton gave AC Unity a 7.
Hang on a minute. This is exactly the same as the Japanese version except with English voices, right? Then why does the player get an E grade in the Japanese one and a C grade in the English one? I am getting VERY worried now.
@Darkhol0w @Cloud_imperium It's possible the Metal Gear Collection is coming BECAUSE MGSV was announced for PC. It could be the gateway for PC gamers who have not played the previous games to have a go at it. MGS3 was never released for PC and MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive.
MGS2 on PC already looks pretty decent but a HD remaster is the final touch it needs.
The soldier was already very close in the first instance, about five meters away. He should have been suspicious. The other soldiers should have stopped running towards the babe-box as soon as they got close, but they didn't which is quite game-breaking if you ask me.
Why do developers do this? They have a half-decent concept (I'm being nice here) and they slaughter it with generic cover-shooter gameplay. This is not rewarding or satisfying in anyway. Want to feel like a badass? Play a game that actually offers moments where the player will be overwhelmed, and will have to resort to having to improve their skills or think up new strategies.
@Castor47 It could be a difference in countries and age groups, too. I live in England and I know quite a few girls who properly play games (Metroid, Souls, LoZ etc.). When I say a few I mean like 5 at most, but still, if a girl told me she played games, I wouldn't question her as much as I would a guy if he told me the same thing. Maybe in other countries video games are far more male-dominant which is where this negativity is arising from. There are probably more factors to consider here as well.
@nikon133 I'm sure he knows what 30fps is like. Also, he didn't directly say that The Order 1886 was a failure. Why is he a bitching brat? I think you're going overboard with that one. I mean, he's criticising games that run at 30fps, but Luckey is mainly referring to VR.
