Shadow94- In multi-tasking ready apps, like burning software, games, and video\graphics editing software, yes, it wil be much faster than the single core. But in non-threaded apps, like word processing and other simpler apps, it may not be faster in some situations. But the payoff would be much greater with a dual or quad core processor. But it may be better to go with an Intel, unless you are AMD hardcore. Intel seems to have the edge in the market right now, like NVidia.
Still, I guess us PC gearheads won't really see the advantages of those 8XXX series NVidia cards until they release a REAL DX 10 game. Not to say this isn't a real DX 10 game, but the graphical differences are barely noticable.
