its still a souls game at heart... There seems to be similar looped level design.. Boss rooms, stamina management is still crucial ... the fast paced encounters are a welcome tweak to the souls mechanic we love... EXCITED!!!
I have never played a FF game... But I have been watching there trailers animations since FF 13.. they are the best in the whole industry... Good job SE .. Now that the combat seems Real-Time I will pick this up
@lrdfancypants The souls series to me is the best game series of all time... it deserves a try atleast... but I would be the first to say its not for everyone...
@lrdfancypants Ok let me break it down for you then.... Keep in mind souls games have the co-op mechanic... but it is meant to be with a stranger ... it all fits with the lore of the game... you can be summoned as a friend to help or for a duel... you can also invade other players and kill them in their world...
in souls game there is no separate SP/MP... it overlaps and happens in the same world
so in the initial part of the game you cannot co-op at all... kind of learning the basics... then an NPC will give you an item to use in-game... sometimes people miss this and is hard to find
When you use your co-op item you create a summon sign... Now this summon sign is visible to all players at your level in the same area as you are ... You need to be at the same level as your friend... in the same area and see the summon sign first...
Other players in the area can also see the sign... and they can use it too... Also there are other things like your friend should be in Human form... not hollow and blah blah...
As you can see its not easy and not straightforward as it was not designed for friend co-op.. it was supposed to be mysterious and weird when it happens to you... ergo my earlier statement...
@Gencic I have having living room space issues... I will probably buy it when the next Halo releases... 2016 holiday season.. Right now my living room already has a 360, ps3 and ps4.
