How do you slit enemies throats and how do you hold them up with a gun. I can't figure it out. Thanks.

The last 2 times I've watched a DVD (both were widescreen), the image was stretched to full screen. I have all the latest updates and my TV is 16:9. I didn't mess with anything either.
