I think it's the opposite.

PS3 had HDMI from the get go. 360 got it later.

PS3 supported 1080p out of the box. 360 got it later.

PS3 played HD movies out of the box. 360 got the HD DVD add-on which is now useless.

PS3 had a bigger HDD out of the gate. 360 got a big HDD later but still can't compete with the non-proprietary approach Sony took with the PS3.

PS3 SixAxis has the same design as the DualShock and hasn't changed much other than L2/R2 triggers. 360's controller is just like the PS3 in layout except for analog placement and controller shape.

So far for me, I would have to say NGS is the only game I would really consider difficult. Uncharted on Crushing COULD be really hard, but you continue about 5 steps back if you die. I will say that if you had to, say, restart at the beginning of each chapter or something if you died in Uncharted on Crushing, it would be harder than hard mode on NGS.MyzeDivine

If it did that, it wouldn't be hard. It would be cheap. Ninja Gaiden is hard because it's cheap like that. Uncharted was hard because the enemies were challenging. Ninja Gaiden's enemy were challenging too.....but the game designers also did the cheap thing of making you repeat somethings in order to make it more difficult. I think difficulty should be judged by the AI.....not cheap tactics.

Nintendo never really were that good at making controllers. The Nintendo 64's 3-hands-required controller proved that.

The honor of making great controllers has to go to Microsoft, though, since the Control Pad for the Xbox 360 is unarguably one of the best controllers we've ever seen. The Dualshocks come close, though.

The 360's button layout is the same (except for analog) as the DualShocks and the Dualshock came before it.

As a general rule, PS3 multiplats have a poorer framerate than the 360 counterparts.travt-down

Not anymore....specially with most developers trying to focus on both versions.

if it was 500 it would be HD and just as powerfull.. it would win all.Always-Honest

Do you realize who the Wii is selling to?

If it was $500 with similar hardware as PS3/360, it wouldn't do as good as it is now.

Yes. I know people who own all of the systems just so they feel like they have the right to complain about one of them.SmashBrosLegend

Sad, isn't it?

[QUOTE="fred1712"]Should I get a PS3? Because I REALLY want to play MGS4, uncharted, and littlebigplanet but you can't rent a PS3...so I figured I could just buy one. Oh, and don't say yes just because your diehard PS3 fans. thx.hazelnutman

You're on the PS3 forums. What do you think people are going to say?

Seriously, make your own decisions. Personally, I love my PS3, and if you REALLY want to play MGS4, Uncharted, and LittleBigPlanet, then get it. Pretty straightforward

If he goes to the 360 forum, what do you think people are going to say?

I am trying to sell some stuff to Gamestop in order to earn some money for my PS3. I have $140 already. I want to sell my PS2, two wireless controllers, three regular controllers, Dragonballz Budokai Tenkaichi , Need for Speed Carbon, Eyetoy (plus camera), Socom Fireteam Bravo 2 for PSP, and GTA Vice City Stories. How much do you think I'll get for all of this?

Thank you in advance.

musicboy101

Keep the EyeToy, you can use it with some PS3 games and for chat or replace it with the Eye and don't sell it to GameStop like everyone else said. Sell it on Ebay, you'll probably get more money but it will take more time.

[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]Yes, being the only console this generation that has 100% functionality with last gen titles is so awful, if only they could cut that number down to 75% or even 60% it'd be perfect.Jazunn

That is great, 100% is very cool I agree on that... But having to buy 75$ of accessories to be backwards compatible is a huge turnoff.

Nintendos BC heavily favors those who already owned GC, forces them to keep all their GC cluter while at the same time discontinuing the accessories.

I'm sure it wouldn't had been a problem setting aside a part of the internal memory to act as a GC memory card. I am also sure if they had put in the effort they could have set up a proper controller option.

While the PS3 BC isn't perfect, all PSone games are supported & a lot of PS2 games are. They are all played using the packed in wireless PS3 controller.

Are you sure you can't save Gamecube games? Isn't there a memory card port under the cube controller slots?

EDIT: I just looked up pictures of the Wii and it does have memory card ports to save GC games....

Perhaps you have to launch the game to get it?

You had to do that for Snake Ball.

EDIT: Nope.
