I was just thinking back to when i played kingdom hearts. It was a really heart warming game and id like to play a game similar to that. With beautiful story lines, and visuals. Or Kind of like a final fantasy type of game.

It was a really close call, but I had to give the nod to the Unreal series.

Single-Player: The original Unreal was absolutely groundbreaking for its time, and is still a blast to play over LAN. I will forever love Quake 1, but I believe that Unreal was absolutely the superior experience. As for the rest of the series, in my opinion, both Unreal 2 and Quake 2 were disappointing games: bland, boring and completely devoid of all the style and charm that made the originals great, though I must admit that I haven't found many others who feel the same. Likewise, I haven't found many others who share my opinion that Quake 4 was an epic failure (no pun intended).

Multiplayer: Obviously, the Quake series as a whole deserves a special nod for being the driving force behind truly revolutionizing the multiplayer FPS experience. But be that as it may, it's my opinion that the UT games are superior overall. The depth of strategy, the maps, the powerups, the intricacies of the weapons... It all adds up to what I believe is the better game. The original UT is still one of the best online FPSs out there, and UT2004 was simply an incredible game and an unbeatable value, although I will admit I wasn't personally a fan. I do really like UT3 though, since it feels more like the original UT to me. And I'll just go ahead and stick UT2003 in the "doesn't count" column next to Quake 4.

Quake requires MUCH more strategizing than UT PERIOD

hard to agree with the maps and simplicity because while they are both First Person Shooters, they differ greately within the genre . Mostly movement. Movement has got to be one of the MAIN things to consider in a game. In my opinion, quakes movement was just superb! UT felt a little slower because of the double jump (here is where its just too complex. tone it down a bit) I just find the constant strafing (which is easy to learn) is what makes quake the ideal FPS because it makes the game so much faster, and is perfect for death match tournaments.

(sorry if the above doesn't sound right. It's late and im getting tired)

And in my opinion UT2K4 was fun, really fun. But i still kind of think of it as the second worst game of the sereis (worst being UT3). It was just a erm cartoony? compared to the more serious UT and the movement felt way too odd (same goes with UT3).

Couldn't agree more. Valve sure is a great company. They only thing i dont like about them is that there games attract so many hackers/trolls/kids. With that said, the games are good with the exception of a few repetitive ones but the communities sure do suck hard core. The development is also a little lack luster. Their source engine works in weird ways. For example CSS and DOD:S when you shoot at your opponents its not quite dead on. So having good aim is not really like having "good aim". I don't see why they cant change their hit-boxes. They are SO fugged. But other than that the overall "experience" you get from a valve game is excellent and is always fun.

I'm personally a bigger fan of id software. There engines are so fine tuned and backed up by one of (if not) the best programmer in the business, John Carmack. Seriously i don't think any other programmer is as ambitious and so dedicated as this guy is. But like every one else they have their own flaws. With id software, there games as of now have been a little to repetitive but on the up side their communities are some of the most mature i have seen. It's just a shame they don't have a larger shelf of games.

update. so i found out how the system works, left set of colors is for wasd and right side of colors is number keys (8462) But here is another problem i seem to always fail on this certain bug (walking on the wall). Even if i hit all the right keys i still fail. I know i am hitting the right keys because of the sound you are suppose to hear. Any ideas?

Hey guys i have been stuck on this part for ages! The part that i am stuck on is where you are playing Lucas, you're at work, its the last ASM sequence. He is hallucinating (i think) and sees all sorts of bugs of all sizes. He has to run away from them.

The part that gets me stuck is that i don't know what keys are assigned to the "green, yellow, blue, and red lights" I think its the WASD because most of the time i get a sound that sounds like i hit the right key. This happens for every light except the yellow light. I always miss that one.

Another part that confuses me is when two lights of the same color flash simultaneously. Does this mean i have to press the key twice?

i'll tell you this, it has one of the most mature communities of any and all source games. It's really fun too, only thing is it has a hard learninng curve (whch im guessing the people dissing it havn't passed that curve)

well now you are just switching from gta to arma. I gave you my advice. I said it wouldn't be too great. Don't make me the bad guy just cause i gave you a bad remark on your rig. That comes hand in hand with posting a "can i run it" type of thread.

Since you said you don't care for graphics, i guess you could run it on the lowest resoltuion with everything on low. You could put a setting or two on medium but it really won't make a difference or make it look prettier. I know from experience. Now that i have my 980gt its okay. But my quad and 6gb of ram are more of the problem solvers here. GTA really loves cpu power and ram.

So there is no point getting this game because it will destroy my AMD Athlon II 635 X4 and my GTS 250?

Aslyum_Beast

How did you come up with this concolusion. I clearly wasn't referring to you, nor the game gta.

Sorry if i am coming off as rude but that seems to be the only way to reach out to you.

No you should be able to run CoD at a playable frame rate at minimum settings

soldine
i have cod4. I had to turn everything at low with 1280X750 res. The most i had was like 30-40 fps. Smoke killed it though. Had to play on certain maps only also

The 650w will more than suffice for that build - you could probably run it off a decent 550w power supply.

ravenguard90
Exactly what he said. In fact even a 450-500W will do. You're good to go!
