Firstly, great article. Secondly, when will the games industry learn that treating your core audience with contempt will not bring in more $? If they lock the new generation of consoles down and make it impossible to play pre-owned games, then I can see the PC market taking off again and people ditching their consoles in droves! Why? Well why would you buy a console that dictates what you can and can't run when you can have a pc with better graphics, faster frame rates, and more importantly the ability to download games, for FREE! I don't normally advocate piracy, but if the industry wants to make a rod for it's own back then they can only blame themselves when it all blows up in their face! People don't have the money in this climate to buy all the new games that come out, so often pre owned is the only way for them to get access to them! Also, charging 60 bucks plus for a digitally downloadable game that has been out for over 6 months is a joke!
