@Atzenkiller: Let's see... What does Uranium offer compared to the core series?
Normal and Nuzlocke mode, multiple save files, and a different spin on the core series, basically everything fans of the core games have wanted to see for years instead of making each new generation easier and more casualized
What does the upcoming Sun and Moon offer? The removal of gyms... Oh such an innovation!
Sad but inevitable, there's only so much you can do for a game that is already struggling around a DMCA takedown.
Glad I grabbed this game while I did, it's still a shame Nintendo is the only gaming company right now that is stupid enough to enforce the copyright law, specially now that they need all the help they can get, the Wii U is dead, the NX is arriving to absolutely 0 fanfare, and they got a whooping one AAA release coming up, their brand is dying hard.
@bacontophat45: It worked for Cave Story, game is freeware, then a publisher picked it up and sold an HD remaster for a price, game sold like hot cakes while the freeware version is still up for grabs
Fans are more than happy to give you money if what you are offering is worth it, a good number of pokemon fans would be glad to buy Uranium to not only support the devs, but to also support Nintendo.
But then again... Nintendo is too stupid of a company nowadays, that's why they've been driving their console business to the ground and getting into PR nightmare after PR nightmare because they don't want anyone touching their IPs, it's just a matter of time before Nintendo gets left behind.
@Tiwill44: Yeah, nice examples from several years ago, almost made me forget about the uproar over Far Cry Primal using the map from Far Cry 4, the outrage that assets in the modern warfare series were being reused, how someone pointed out that cutscenes were being recycled in call of duty ghosts, how Battlefield Hardline felt like a $60 reskin, the backlash against Saints Row 4 using the same city layout from the third game
The pricetag is not the point here, the point here is you are trying to spin a lazy way of developing games into a good thing and trying to pretend this is the first time gamers got outraged over it
@Tiwill44: Hilarious way to look at it considering gamers as a whole insult and berate Activision for doing the excact same thing with the call of duty franchise
@nibbin1191: You don't give a toss, yet here you are going out of your way to defend them with all your heart :)
Yes, Kojima used Zombies in Metal Gear, he made PMC soldiers act like Zombies at one point in MGS4, The Parasite unit in V are zombie-like, same as the puppet soldiers they create when they infect the enemy outpost they deployed to
However, they were never the focus of the game, they were part of a hazard during a boss fight, a set piece, or a side mission, this game however, decided to make them the entire focus of this new Metal Gear title, that is the problem, zombie-like enemies in previous titles worked becuase they were part of the bigger picture.
Here however, they dropped all the substance zombie-like enemies had and turned them into yet another generic horde of the undead with a generic co-op focus and a generic survival-like setting, trying to dismiss the anger this game is recieving because of stupid technicalities is one of the laziest arguments you could come up with.
Either way, hope you had fun defending your beloved company :)
