IGN has done it and it's obviously turning into a major handheld gaming platform, already having games such as super monkey ball, Bomberman, frogger, de blob, crash bandicoot, asphalt and upcoming games including tiger woods, need for speed, line rider and spore launching soon. So i believe gamespot should therefore create there own section to review, preview and do whatever they do with games from other consoles with iphone games.The main reason I think it is going to be adopted as a gaming platform is the fact that all games are stored on the console, they can be purchased from anywhere and it's a blend of DS's touchscreen and Wii's motion sensing( it's like they had a baby). Nearly two years have passed since the Wii's launch and highly anticipated games have come and gone either to huge praise or shock failure coupled with lots of criticism but the system remains a sell-out. What I am asking other Wii owners now is of the genres I will mention nominate the game you believe is the best to date.
The genres are: Fighting, Sports, Racing, Party Game, RPG, FPS and Overall. Feel Free to add ur own categories
I agree this next-gen console geneartion has been absolutely outstanding. The great about this gen is MS Sony and Nintendo have been battling so fiercely they are all trying extremely hard to satisfy customers so I think there will be no loser in this gen...except maybe PS3 if it doesnt get better titles and HDDVD overcomes blu-ray.
I just got a Wii because the wiimote looked very fun and it still is but I believe in a year or so I would compliment it with a PS3 because more titles will hopefully be available on it and hi-def movies are gonna become a lot more popular but if you are looking to compliment your Wii immediately definetely get a 360 because it has awesome games and Halo 3 looks AMAZING and had been highly praised. Only thing it lacks is wifi and HD player which both have to be bought seperately adn that really sucks but otherwise if they integrate those in a new 360 version within a year I would definetely get a 360.
At the moment XBOX 360 is a lot better than a PS3 but in about a year or 2 when everyone actually knows how amazing HD is and start purchasing Blu-ray movies everyone is gonna go PS3 and hopefully by then we'd get more titles for PS3 so I'd probably consider waiting as I just got a Wii that I enjoy a lot. It's online is great and I think both Xboxlive and Wii Online surpass Sony's online gaming segment but that too will hopefully make progress
If you are looking for a portable console DS is definetely what you should get. It has great features such as the stylus which is lots of fun to use. You can even use your fingers and your screen will suffer absolutely no damage at all.It has built-in wi-fi that works perfectly with my wireless-g network although it does not have a web browser. It has a wifi chatroom that u can use to chat with anyone withing 50feet although I've had it work for longer distances(ie: 70-100 feet). The Wifi is also very useful with games such as pokemon which allows you to battle with people from all over the world and even comes with VoIP while in battle so thats like a free call! Although if you are looking for a console with better graphics and more media features you should look into purchasing a PSP Giga Pack which provides you with Mp3, Video, Photo viewing and gaming features.
