@Blue_Tomato I know this was posted a year ago and I agree with everything you said. Luckily technology seems to have moved on and if you see the 3D scanning Google has used in maps the results are extremely realistic. Now they take photos from all angles and map it on to lazer scanned terrain which includes all houses and trees so now when you look from the air it's no longer blocks stuck to the 2D map. Not all places have been done but the major cities have been. If they used these maps in games flying even at low level would be awesome.
