I dont get it... I just saw a vid on here about Assassins Creed Unity, where a dev says 60fps looks "weird and unnatural" then compares it to movies... Even though a movie and game are vastly different on how they immerse the viewer/player

In contrast to these claims, The Last of Us remake has a switch in the game itself where you can toggle between 30 fps and 60 fps... while the game still works fine on 30fps... to say its superior feels like such a farce that I'm kind of shocked they would even suggest at all that its "more natural"

When I switch between the two settings you can instantly tell that the 30fps one is way more janky and the 60fps setting well, feels how it should be and was totally natural, and more "responsive" to my controller inputs.

So my question(s):

Do you guys notice a difference?

Do you care?

Do you think devs should be allowed to use radical claims like this?

Do you think 30fps really is more immersive?

Is Ubisoft just being lazy on their optimizations and making excuses?

AND Last but most importantly:

It's kind of obvious they are using this excuse due to power limitations on the system, would you sacrifice graphical detail for smoother play??

I have an MSI GE60 Gaming laptop, I got it last year with an i7 and 660m graphics card, While I do game on it A LOT... I actually never take it anywhere, why? because when you game you need your gaming set up, you just need it, I cant game without my mechanical keyboard or 24 inch monitor, and with the hassle of taking it around, get a gaming desktop for 800 bucks and use the spare change to get a tablet. Trust me I dropped 1200 on this laptop, I regret it.

TL:DR I thought getting a gaming laptop for school/home would be great, it was not practical though, WHY DID I BUY A GAMING LAPTOP FOR SCHOOL WHEN ALL I USE MY LAPTOP IN SCHOOL FOR IS THE INTERNET AND SLIDESHOW PRESENTATIONS!


Also, My mother has an i3 laptop, she gets 4-5TIMES the battery life, my laptop barely gets 2hours even when I'm just on the internet, pop an I7 in there and shes sweatin'

my standard ps3 console have reached it's limit and the damn death light have shown up, so I'm thinking the only option i have got is to buy ps3 slim, but i don't know which is better, ps3 slim or the super slim, and please tell me which one is having the "heat problem" more than the other cause i play a plenty of hours and i don't want to have the death light on my ps3 any time sooner.

Lets donate a thread to the company with the most potential in the industry. Post some of the Disapointments that Square Enix has brought forth to your gaming needs. Ill start: Square Enix has disapointed me by wasting 7 years on Final Fantasy versus 13, using the Kingdom Hearts team, over the course of these 7 years we were treated 2 mediocre final fantasy 13 games, and im pretty sure a majority of us stopped caring for whatever final fantasy versus 13 has to offer anymore.

Tl:DR: Give me kingdom hearts 3 please.
