@Beardof_Zeus456:

This will be a controversial comment naturally but I'm thinking of a couple of things:

1; this is Gamespot. One of the largest and well known gaming related entities and 2; this is Assassin's Creed (Syndicate). One of the largest and well known gaming franchises.

Put one and two together and what do we get? A big game which if reviewed negatively will garner a lot of negative as opposed to positive attention from fans of Assassin's Creed and the like towards a big entity (in this case Gamespot) whilst simultaneously losing them exposure (e.g. "Gamespot" and their respective score/comment not appearing in advertisements).

All of this information combined (as well as previous accounts of this behaviour in the Gaming Industry) leads me to believe Gamespot won't let any Critic simply write them an article with their honest opinion on a game as big as this; because this isn't just their opinion, it's the opinion of Gamespot. The critic is the representative and Gamespot will tell them to say what they see fit.

This behaviour is reflected with Celebrities as their opinion is highly influential to a lot of people.
