[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]

[QUOTE="BMD004"] You're acting like cops are ninjas or something. A cop can't really do much more than any random joe from off the street. Their hand to hand training is minimal.BMD004

That is in fact wrong.. Police officers are trained in numerous take downs and they have to pass constant physical tests often times to insure they are capable of what they are doing.. Its a freaking 8 year old kid, are you trying to tell me that a adult can't take down a 8 year old with out resorting to pepper spray.. Than why the hell is this person a police officer to begin with? How am I going to trust them to handle a situation correctly with adults?

Knowing how to do something and actually being able to do it are two different things. Police don't get near enough training to be able to do a lot of what they learned on the streets. And my uncle used to smoke. Some crooks got in a car and tried to run him over before. He had to sprint for his life and he got behind a tree and the guys crashed. He had to be taken to the hospital because he couldn't breathe because he smoked. He's quit since then, but if the physicals are anything like you are saying, there is no way he would have passed. And he's a fit guy. He's built. Now just imagine all of the fat, old police officers out there... there is no way all of those guys can pass any kind of tough physical tests. And yes, police do take classes (my aunt tore her ACL during a class where her instructor was going to take her down), but learning in a class and applying that on the street are two completely different things. If you don't practice it constantly until you have the technique perfect and it is second nature, it is going to be difficult to do it to a resisting person on the street. P.S... what's wrong with pepper spraying a kid? Pepper spray is temporary and nobody gets hurt.

1. this is why "Kid was in a cla$$ for kids with behavorial problems" 2. cops havce taken many people down with tazers or pepper spray before who head knives and guns.... so i think a cop can figure out how to handle a child who has a issues. they never talk to him. you don't go spray a child with peper spray sepcially when he has a a behavorial problem. which maybe what the parents should see if there anything that may help him.

he a dman 8 year old? you really think 8 year old who has issues with beahvoir problems? is really going to hurt someone.

I don't think that is the point.. I think it has more to do with the fact of how a single adult (let alone several) couldn't easilly restrain a 8 year old with out resorting to measures that were developed to take down a physically imposing suspect.. I have no confidence in many of the police today, if they react like this against such a unimposing salient with a sharp piece of wood (which we can easilly say is A PENCIL) than.. How in the hell am I suppose to expect them to deal with the situation correclty against a full grown suspect?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wYwMnTzuPIanother ridiculous one.. Several offiers couldnt' restraina 86 year old bed ridden lady.. So they TAZED her..

and last time i check many people whine about an old lady be tazered.. she knew better this kid has problems that may not be able to fix by school itself yet he is a class with student who also have behrival problems. hum.... i wonder....

Just because it's not common, it doesn't mean that they can't. I remember reading about an 8 year old boy who killed his father and someone else with a gun a few years back.

so every child who is 8 is going to be is the same as someone else when there is a clear thing he has an issues the his mom and doctors could try to help him with? look with the letters in blue...

You guys even bother reading it or you think the child just did own his owned and kenw better? he a damn 8 year old kid. let me put these letters in big . "Kid was in a cla$$ for kids with behavorial problems"

Summary:

Kid was in a cla$$ for kids with behavorial problems. Kid got really mad at something, and started spitting, throwing chairs, and started threatning teachers and other kids with a sharp piece of wood. Cops came. Kid tells cops "I will kill you mother *******" and makes some more threats with the sharp piece of wood. Cops pepper spray him.

Mom is mad because she thinks police used "excessive force" and she is filing a complaint. She wishes the cops would have tried to talk him down instead.

Thoughts?

BMD004

first off the school should be able to help with these issues. the second think.... is he an 8 year old boy... he can't kill anything but someone in a video game. the cops could of done something.... the teachers could of also did something. leave the ****room keep and eye and watch. no reason asboutly no reason to peper spray... and 8 year old child.

Here is another one... we all use this daily...

"

Anyone who's ever driven in a rain or snow storm can attest to the dire importance of windshield wipers. What a lot of people don't know is that windshield wipers were invented by a woman. Inventor Mary Anderson received a patent for her car-window cleaning device in 1903.

Anderson's invention came about during a trip to New York City when the Alabama-born inventor noticed that streetcar drivers had to open the windows of their cars when it rained in order to see. As a solution, Anderson invented a swinging arm device with a rubber blade that was operated by the driver from within the vehicle using a lever.

Many people were initially leery of Anderson's windshield wiper invention, thinking it would distract drivers, but by 1916 windshield wipers were standard on most vehicles. It was also a woman inventor who first patented the automatic windshield wiper in 1917(Charlotte Bridgwood's "Storm Windshield Cleaner")."
