@DesertLynx83 Except Sony trying to do this has been talked about for the last year. Before, people like you were saying "It's just a rumor, there's no reason to even think they care about that." Now it's "just because they went out of their way to patent something that's been publically discussed for a year straight, it still doesn't mean they're actually interested in doing it"? Really?
@CriticalCritic Why does the publisher deserve anything from a second-hand sell? When someone sells their friend a car, why does Toyota deserve to get a cut from that?
@GamerMani Poor Steamers who couldn't afford Xbox, yet one of the biggest things your fellow fanboys complain about is the cost of PS3 and PC. My video card costs more than your console, I'm hardly a "poor Steamer".
@spenceslivn Except I paid the same amount for my PS3 that I paid for Xbox :| Also, comparing to the PS3 launch price doesn't work because that was lord-knows-how-many years ago, and it was lowered like six months later, if not sooner. PC gaming, yeah, you pay more, but you also get a lot more. Chances are you bought an Xbox, but you've also bought a PC anyway, right? The vast majority of people have both consoles and a computer in the house, so that's kind of a moot point: everyone's paying the same price regardless of what they play on. Let's say you do pay lower for the Xbox. Chances are you had to buy a second Xbox. Not only that, but year after year you're paying just to have multiplayer access. If anything, Xbox becomes more expensive than the PS3, yet has less features. PC is probably the best bang-for-your buck considering you most likely have one anyway. No matter which way you put it. Is there a reason behind "free"? Yes: because it should be.
@nini200 I thought about that just as I finished sending, lol. First and foremost, I'm a PC gamer who owns a Playstation 3 as well. If Microsoft follows suit, I'd be done with console gaming altogether.
This is a deal-breaker for me. After my box red-ringed, I've never looked back once I bought a PS3 that looks better, had better games (to me; obviously that's completely subjective), had a better (read: less immature) online gaming population, and better technology (no Bluray? really?), and not having to pay to play online after I'm already paying for the internet. That said, this single idea right here will get me to completely jump on the Microsoft bandwagon come the next generation.
Holy christ. I can't even remember how long it's been since I (and everyone I was playing with) uninstalled this game (I think it was like a month or two after it came out). I could've sworn they were talking about PVP coming up even then. You're telling me that shit STILL hasn't been put in the game? If they're not putting in PVP because "the current set up gets old quickly", they should have delayed the entire game instead of confirming everyone's worrying that WoW made Blizzard lazy and sloppy.
