"Smartphones are ubiquitous, and the microtransaction model--especially in China--is common and generally accepted." - Exactly why gamers are upset. Its basically a sign that Blizzard is no longer interested in making quality games.

Man, I am so disappointed. Everything about this is screaming "hey we sold out and are now only interested in money". Everyone knows phone games are just silly loot box cash grabs. Its basically the phone game mo. Making your big final reveal a phone game regardless of diablo or what ever is basically saying you no longer care about creating quality games.

I haven't lost all hope. But damn, that spark is dim. Just fucking tease something about D4 or a content update for D3 and everyone will forget about this.

This is a case where I believe the EA response to a few complainers blew this out of proportion. The initial reveal trailer was a giant wtf, with the girl, the cyborg arm, the samurai. If you say its a WW2 game and the trailer don't look like Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers then you need to slap your marketing team up side the head.

The Rotterdam trailer was so much better, and the ninja and cyborg girl were still in it. But in the case of this trailer its just minor part of the WW2 game theme. They totally went the wrong way with "The Company" trailer. Am I playing a WW2 battlefield game or dressing up digital people with the latest ambercrombie shit?

Is it too much to ask that you try and show off the game features and improvements we would expect from a battlefield game? If they would have just made the soldier customization thing a side act, I don't think many people would care really.

Its buggy as hell and crashes frequently, but man when it does work its a ton of fun.

The ships and stations and everything really look great. Its great to seem them ramping up the content. Considering there are about 2-3 more years of development (based on average game dev time) I'd say they are doing exceptionally good.

Single player is alright if you haven't played any of the previous games like me, I couldn't stand them. But at least in this one I can go run and gun some missions. (I'm not really stealthy).

Multiplayer is a big fat failure. invis camo is really the only way to go, so basically it just turns in to a camping fest (bring a tent). Besides that its not really fun at all. the maps are generally way to big for only 12 people. and the game modes need to be extended. Can I just get a TDM or Cap the Flag with a high ticket count? I wanna play not run around and get shot in the back because I'm not a camper or auto extracted by a fucking mine. BORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRING.
