Just a reminder: though Nintendo many not want to maintain the infrastructure to make these games available through their platform, they will not disappear from the internet. I'd argue Nintendo don't deserve your money as a reward for killing their legacy platform without moving the games to their new platform. Since you can't ever trust a corporation to make decisions with your best interests in mind, I'd recommend just setting your 3DS and WiiU up for homebrew; it is extremely easy.
You look at the remaster, and its like the game is still from the early 2000's. All these years later, and visuals can't improve when the current hardware is almost on par. Only with Nintendo.
Didn't we hear rumors that the development of this remaster trilogy for Switch was completed many years ago? Maybe this release is meant to get people back into Prime leading up to a MP4 reveal.
